This topic can be locked when the poll is over. Just let one of the moderators know.
Locking it only prevents people from voting or replying. It doesn't delete the posts so anyone interested in seeing the results of this final round (or any of the previous rounds) can search for it.
Another suggestion is to put a value in the "Run poll for __ days" field when you're creating the poll. If you put in "7" for example, after 7 days the poll will automatically lock, but the topic will continue to remain open. That's what I would suggest for everyone creating survivor polls, especially on the last round.

thats what i do on the two polls i maintain but unless its a final round it still needs to be locked.
i think the final rounds should stay open because why can't we discuss the survivor once its over

We can. The comments for final round should remain open forever. Just the poll portion needs to be locked.
