4 years? Obviously you're new. This was the longest wait EVER, and the rest of us were spoiled by 2 and a half year waits. Seeing this tour won't be 16 months as we know, and I believe he'll be able to make a new album in 2 and a half, 3 years.

And a 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg (Shizzle the Whizzle Dizzle Forizzle of the Heezy fo Sheezy- by "Weizzle Al" Yankovizzle) video parody, and he will spoff American Idol on ALTV. I think.

Huh, Weizzle sounds like Weasel.

(a BOXIZZLE OF ONE DOZLE STARVING CRAZZILE WEIZZLES!!!!!)

Wow that was the most fun post to write EVER. I mean, Evizzle. You know what I'm sayizzle?

Please, Al... no!!

And Sarley, you are forgetting that Al thinks it's a luxury to be able to wait 3 or 4 years between albums.

I would imagine it will be at least 2 years before he even gets around to thinking about another album. unless of course something really big happens culturally that he just can't pass up.

QUOTE I'd tell you its title, but its a pop culture reference you all wouldn't get yet for another few years.

It's okay. I've seen the future, it's the Lord of the Dance guy in "Footloose 2007." We've still got a few years left to build our underground bunkers.

I'll have to disagree. Unless Poodle Hat sells extremely well (Bad Hair Day territory), I think he'll be motivated to get back out there as quickly as possible, thanks to the overall plehiness of a certain angry white boy.

I see 3 years being our avergae wait now. he does have a wife and child now, so he has more reasons to stay home. And I for one will forgive him for it, even though the waits suck

plehiness??

But Al has other things he can do to make a living you know. Stuff that doesn't make him climb on a bus and leave his family. He can continue to do other people's videos, for one thing. He's a multitalented guy. If he never recorded another note, he'd still do alright.

Of course, I hope you're right. But I only want him to make the next record right away if he can do it to his satisfaction.

QUOTE

plehiness??

Adjective. Used to describe the act of being plehhy. Used in a sentence: Marshall is a big plehhy jerk. Just a word I use. Don't mind me. Go back to your homes. Nothing to see here.

And slamming this post back to it's topic: I want my Al TV! I saw the OTDE one many times, but only being a casuAL fan, I didn't tape it (D'oh!). I want to see it again, and all the others I missed. And I used to have the BHD Al TV on tape, but I've lost it. I do have BHD Al Music, however....that's even better!

Ugh, thinking about 2 1/2 to 3 years . . . it seems like such a long time, and it could be longer . . . I can only wait a year! Unless in between albums, Al does lots of TV specials and/or a movie. (I can dream can't I?)

well i first bought Greatest Hits 2 in 1995 and have been a part of alt.music.weird-al ever since, but if that makes me new then i guess you can call me a newbie.

anyway, i have a feeling this tour is going on a little longer than the dates posted on weirdal.com. every one of al's tours goes on for a long time after the initial dates claim.

the touring will probably end by late 2004 and then Al will take about a year off and start doing originals in late 2005 and then do the parodies in mid 2006, with a late 2006 release. however, the AL-TV special won't run till February 20th according to my time travel device.

don't jump to conclusions about how long i've been a fan sarley boy. from the looks of your avatar you couldn't have been a fan much longer than i have.
