Here are my views on KazaA: Pretty much all of his fans will buy the album because they are fans and want the art of the artist, and of course they still want them to make money. If the people who DO download the songs and dont buy the album, didnt have the option of downloading it, they wouldnt but it anyways.

I would never ever download a songs instead of buying an album. I have downloaded songs to listen to them to see if I want to cover them and perform them. Not Al's of course. I have his songs on CD. I have had people request a few songs by certain groups. If it's a group that I don't know anything about, I download it and listen to it on my computer a few times. I learn everything by ear. I don't burn to disc or anything. If I like what I hear I WILL go out and buy the album. If not I delete it.

well i checked KaZaA and they only got Couch Potato, Complicated Song, and Genius in France (out of the songs on PH). So it's nothing to worry about yet.

Uh huh. The entire album was available online the day before it went on sale and I could get it legitimately.
Don't get me started... you won't like me when I'm angry. (Bonus points for anyone who gets the reference.)

hey, hey, hey, thats what I saw, whoever had the whole album either went offline or deleted it. But thats irrelivant.
P.S. Sarah said she didn't turn up much either (thats the girl with the poodle avatar way up there, hey she got a new one too), so obviously activity on the new album has died down.

How is it irrelevant? Doesn't it directly speak to the topic? Why go out and buy Poodle Hat if you can download it for nothing AND get it the day before the Album can be legitimately purchased. You'd have to be a real moron to wait AND pay for it, huh?
Several bands lately have been changing release dates at the last minute to try to get a jump on the pirates.
I warned you not to get me started. This is a hot button issue for me. Especially as it directly effects our boy. He's got Poodle Chow and Creamed Yams to buy, ya know.

try searching for "weird al poodle hat" instead of just "weird al".
Kazaa is weird like that...
it should turn up almost all the tracks on the CD and you should see the parodies and polka have more frequency.

Most people who downloaded the songs, however, wouldbt buy the album anyways. I dont really like KaZaA, or use very much, but it doesnt do as much damage as everyone thinks it does.

 I will admit to downloading some of Al's unreleased songs, because I know that if it does come out legitimately (and if Al has his way it won't), I'll purchase it.
Watch out for a bunch of songs that have actual unreleased song titles that lead you to...officially released Al songs. I was so angry that I wasted my time and hard drive space thinking that I was getting "Won't Eat Prunes Again" only to find out it's "Stop Draggin' My Car Around."

I downloaded Won't Eat Prunes Again, and it was it.
Other stuff I downloaded includes the Japanese Jurassic Park, Spy Hard, Peter and the Wolf, Belvedere Cruising, The Yoda Chant, Pacman, Green Eggs and Ham, Laundry Day, School Cafeteria, Baby Likes Burping, Free Delivery, and It's Still Billy Joel to Me.
