sg, sorry to be a pain, but I don't see a customer service link or anything on that site. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place? I do want to help. Just let me know where it is or post it in here.
Thanks,
Patti

Being a former Borders employee, I have no problem complaining to B&N. Consider it done!

You're not being a pain at all! I went under help on their main site and
kept going through layers of customer service screens, past all their FAQ's. Hope that helps.

Thanks, sg! I figured it out, and sent them an email. That review is still there. You think they'd know it wasn't legit when the person said the his name was "Shlomo". Gees! I hope they take it down. If everyone who has replied to this sends them a message saying how wrong this review is, maybe they'll get the hint. We can only hope. One good thing out of all this: B&N gave Al's cd a very nice review.

Unfortunately, one of the things I've noticed is some sites have posted
so called "reviews" that only say things like:
"Weird Al sucks"
with entry dates long before the release date of PH, so you know these people haven't even heard the album. These "cogent reviews" are counted towards Al's overall ratings the same as people with slightly more...er...articulate opinions.
Doesn't seem fair, and it just shows how lax some websites are in what they consider a valid review.

That is a shame. I never really bothered looking at the dates. Hopefully, more people like us can post favorable ones and help the cd to get a better rating.

I got an email from Barnes and Noble Here is what they had to say:
"Dear Customer,
Thank you for your comments regarding the review for "Poodle Hat". We
appreciate your taking the time to write to us. We consider customer
feedback critical to the success of our business, and we will pass
along your comments to the appropriate personnel."
I went there, and the review in question is still up, but there are a few others. One of them sounds like the person actually listened to the cd, and is a long-time fan. The others may have, but they were short on words. Maybe something will happen and they'll take that one review down. We'll see, I guess.

I checked. They haven't removed the review in Yahoo Music Guide that called Al "Weird Al Yankjob." Maybe the customer care minion didn't pick up the subtle innuendo. Or maybe there's a critical mass of complaints that has to be received before they'll act. How about if 27 people complained?
