I think the tour could start the very last week of April at the earliest. I wouldn't mind seeing "My Own Eyes" added to the set, but it just seems like Al thinks it would be too hard on his voice right now. If he does add it, it would most likely be between LCTF and the polka.

I think the only way he will make any substantive changes to the set list is if he releases a new digital EP or (at the very least) a new iTunes parody single some time in the next six months or so. I could see him swap in out PTW and/or DTBS for a brand new song or two (wouldn't be the first time such an arrangement was made for either song). If there is indeed a "mystery thing" being released in December I would hope it's at least one new song he could place in next year's setlist.

Personally, I'd like to see him replace DTBS with Nature Trail To Hell as it got a far bigger Twitter response last fall but that may never happen either. I was a little disappointed that TMZ was not in this year's medley so I'd like him to either replace Gump with it or put it on either side of that song. I wouldn't mind seeing him do a brand new concert only parody he may have thought up just for the 2016 tour either.

Where did Al say this?
Al hasn't said anything. it's been said by others, but no confirmation
Where are people saying there'll be something in December? I don't care if it's pure speculation; I'm interested!

THIS. Lame Claim to Fame is pretty...lame live. I wouldn't mind if he just took it out from between Tacky and the polka and added in My Own Eyes somewhere else. Definitely a no to taking out First World Problems AT ALL because it is the Skipper Dan of this tour IMO.
Al usually changes around the setlist in between legs at least a little bit so it's not the EXACT same thing. So I speculate two or three changes will be made. :accordion:
Maybe at least the lighting during DTBS if he keeps it.

How is it any more difficult than "First World Problems"? It's pretty much the same vocally  . And what do you mean "right now"? Nobody is sugesting he sings it today

Singing My Own Eyes would not be an issue, and that isn't why they didn't have it in the set. DTBS will probably not be leaving next year either and I don't think there will be any brand new tracks added next year as they will still be focused on Mandatory Fun for a while.

Al sounded like he struggled more with one performance of My Own Eyes in Maui than he did with any performance of First World Problems from this tour. I get the sense that he felt that this would not be the right time to add it to a tour.

Didn't sound like much of a struggle as opposed to it not being rehearsed and Al not having been singing much at that time as he was in the middle of taking time off. Steve said to me on tour that it didn't go over as well musically as First World Problems and Lame Claim did with the band, but that he felt it was coming some day. Vocals are NOT part of the reason the song has not been done live on tour, it is because they only have a limited number of parodies and originals from the new album they could fit in the set and in the end, as much as they would love to do My Own Eyes and Jackson Park Express live, they have no choice but to pick and choose which ones they all agree sound the best and for the tour. The fact that it is the best track on the album tells me it's the perfect track to save for the next tour when there is more room and Lame Claim or First World Problems are gone.

First World Problems had better not be gone next year, but we can definitely get rid of Lame Claim to Fame and add in My Own Eyes.

Well yeah, a swap for the rest of the Mandatory Tour would be great. By next tour though I was thinking the following tour after Mandatory Fun so a lot of stuff would be gone, making room for older cuts as well. :Y
