I found the area quite small, myself. I guess it's because I watch a lot of videos of him at bigger venues. Makes me surprised he even came to little ol' Moncton at all! (And boy oh boy did I scream like a little girl when I found out. Bought them tickets right when they opened online in January! I heard the entire Moncton event was sold out within the week?)

I think if it were me (but it wouldn't be, it's more of a ladies song... but I guess he did give one old dude a short lap dance!) I would probably cry. Half from 'omg why me why stop everyone is STARING' and 'omg yes me. yes this is happening STARE IN ENVY".

What part did he sing to you?

Ah! I know how you feel. I wish I could relive it again. But everyday I wake up to see The Saga Begins shirt over my chair and go 'darn, I didn't get sent back in time today!' ;) I'll just have to wait (im)patiently for when/if he does another one in the future!

@Weasel: Wow, I pulled a Word Crime! Oops. My grandfather's and my back were stiff, I think, would be proper.

I'm hazy on it because my brain short circuited in excitement but my partner and I think it was:

"I wanna be your beef burrito
Am I making this perfectly clear?
I wanna be your love torpedo
Are you picking up the subtle innuendo here?
I hope I'm not being forward
But do you mind if I chew on your butt?"

The 'chew on your butt' line is the only one I remember with real clarity so it may have been the couple lines after that rather than the ones before. He was singing to me for what felt like a very long time! Haha. I'm so desperate to get video! I do have a couple pics (I posted em in the big picture thread in the General Chat). It was m.a.g.i.c.a.l.

I had never heard of this one before, and it seems to be older, and also a classic for him. And it really surprised me, to be honest! He is so 'kid friendly' that this seemed... so out of place. Or maybe I'm reading to far into it. That Krokatoa line...

Well congrats (is that the right word? ;) ) Maybe a lot of people short circuited during the song, cos I can't find any video on it, either. But good luck!

Thanks! Good luck in your t-shirt search!

I was thinking of typing out a song-by-song review of the concert but I feel like it would just be "This one was good!" and "This one was good too!" x infinity. Haha.

My review would be "I find Al really attractive whenever he ties his hair up". So, CIA, All about the Pentiums, Handy, Word Crimes, and Wanna B Ur Lovr. ;)
He's old (to me) but he looks like hes late 30s or something. It's quite amazing.

Yes, he's aging very nicely indeed ;) I was a wee bit envious of the woman who was helping him strip off/get dressed quickly on stage (ie. reaching around to put his toolbelt on for Handy, undoing his ponytail in one quick movement if the next song required loose hair). Not a bad gig, I'd suppose! Haha.

Oh my. Slow down there, nurse! ;)

Tbt he's way more energetic and flexible and spry than I am. I'm quite jealous. It's amazing how much he moves but you don't hear him wheeze or sound too tired. I bet he likes doing the small Inactive segment, and having water for Smells Like Nirvana (Does he actually do the gurgling, or is that recorded? Sounds like it'd be hard to do every night and sound perfect).I guess getting dressed backstage is like a small break, too.

Haha that was my first thought during Inactive was "I bet he's glad to be sitting in that recliner right now"...I got tired just watching him and I'm considerably younger. Whatever he's doing to stay fit, it's obviously working well. I'm not sure about the water gurgling - he was definitely really gurgling the water during the live performance but my impression was that the gurgling sounds we heard were recorded. They sounded too perfect. I'm not 100% sure though!

I'm sure being vegan/vegetarian and not having McDonalds and A&W every week and having an 11 year old to chase helps stay fit.

I was surprised to hear it. Like I mentioned in another therad, I only heard one or two songs from the Mandatory Fun album. Radioactive is a song I love, so I was happy to hear it! I'm also happy he opened with the one song from MF I liked/head of/wanted him to play.

That's what I was wondering. I really do not mind, as it would probbaly be SUPER DUPER hard to gurgle that perfect everytime. I always find it gross when musicians pour the water they drank onto the crowd, though. Hehe.

(I tried to PM you but it says you don't exist :C)

Haha I certainly do exist! Well, now I'm doubting myself...;)

I really enjoyed the Tacky intro walking through the parking lot. He walked down my aisle (I had an aisle seat) to get to the stage so that was a fun start to the show. I loved when he danced with the elderly female usher, haha. She was so sweet when she helped us find our seats.
