The songs were played on Mars' surface, and since Mars has an atmosphere, the songs travelled.iisryan27 @ Feb 27 2004, 11:51 AM wrote: Too bad sound can't travel in space because there are no gasses so technically nobody will know if it's playing, even if they're a foot away...

Oh right. I forgot Mars had an atmosphere.

Actually, it's in three places. But that's cool. I think Al is probably thrilled about it. I mean, could he have guessed back when he was recording My Balogna in the Bathroom Of Future Fame that one of his songs would be played ON MARS?!? Seriously, when you think about it, that is pretty freakin' cool!
It really should be up on The Mothership. Now he's not only a triple grammy winner, but he's Intergalactically famous! Can Prince say that? Eminem? Coolio?

That's one of the first songs to be played on Mars ever! Someday our great great grandchildren will be showing this song to their kids saying, "This was one of the first songs ever played on Mars. His name was "Weird Al" Yankovic. He made funny songs back when physical compact discs were popular. Your great great great grandfather iisryan used to listen to him..."

This sounds great but seeing that humans are (as far as we know) the only living creatures in the galaxy it's safe to say that all of those artists you mentioned are "intergalactacally famous".Grom @ Feb 27 2004, 12:56 AM wrote:Can they say "intergalactically famous"? Why do you think they chose Trash Day above all other Al songs?
