"When my last movie UHF came out in 1989, I made a solemn vow to my fans that I would release a major motion picture every 33 years, like clockwork. I'm very happy to say we're on schedule," Yankovic said in a statement. "And I am absolutely thrilled that Daniel Radcliffe will be portraying me in the film. Glad Al's writing it, should be fun to see Radcliffe in costume. Can't wait! Wonder if it'll be anything like the original Funny or Die trailer.

I’m shocked that there aren’t more posts about this.

Do you think the movie will depict Al as an alcoholic like in the original fake trailer? There is the shot in the teaser of him swigging booze and then spitting it, but that’s no indication and also seems like something Al might have done in a concert at some point.

Do you think the movie will have new original songs by Al? A UHF type ending credits song?

Do you hope the movie is more Al biopic or more FOD trailer?

I believe he teased in his Poughskeepsie show that he did write at least one new song for the movie!

I'm expecting a biopic parody, definitely. Like the FOD trailer and Walk Hard. I'd prefer that to a regular biopic, he's always seemed to have a very nice and mostly undramatic life and steady journey in the entertainment industry with minor hiccups that wouldn't make the most rollercoaster movie. Coming from Al it'll obviously just be funnier to take real events from his life and career and make them ridiculous. I think the movie does seem like he'll probably turn his wholesome image upside down.

Based on the trailer, it sounds like we'll be getting re-recorded versions of "My Bologna", "I Love Rocky Road", "Like a Surgeon", and per Al himself at least one new original song.

Personally, I'm really hoping for a "WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and Other Stuff" album release, that will have all the songs/music from the movie PLUS a few brand new originals and parodies, a'la the UHF Soundtrack.
