Is that line supposed to be a reference to Don King? I have no idea why, but I always thought this was a reference to the person being bald. As a ten year old, I just assumed that it was well known that boxing promoters were bald and the only reason I didn't know was because I didn't like sports.

Definitely a Don King reference. This was the height of Mike Tysons fame and Don King was all over the place as a result of that

As was his hair. I think you could just show his hair and people would know who it was right away. :)

With Stuck In The Closet With Vanna White, I always knew the right words...

But, I was listening to it the other day and I second guessed. I thought it was weird that his lips fell off, because lips are those one thing that... if you didn't have lips you would still have.... an opening? Anyway, on this recent listen again, I heard:

"...My legs fall off..."

And I was like "OH! That would make 'more' sense." But of course it's lips. :)

It would still be a huge problem if your lips fell off and you still had an opening. Think about it.

So, as I've said in other topics, I didn't hear a lot of popular music because of our local selective station, so most of the parodies and polkafied songs, up until RWS, I didn't know until after (and in most cases way after). And because of that, there were quite a few polkafied songs that I missheard what Al was saying because of him going fast, or the way he said it. (I probably said it in this topic already that I thought You Outta Know was "The Cross-Eyed Bear that you gave to me...")

But another interesting one just came to mind.

In Polka Your Eyes Out, not knowing Ice Ice Baby, I heard:

"If you gotta problem, I'll solve it, check out the beat while the DJ'er solves it!"

Kind of like, HE'LL solve it, but I'll take credit. XD It wasn't until I heard it on the 90s on 9 on XN a few years ago that I heard the right words. I was confused. XD At first I was like, "Maybe it's a differen't verse..."

Used to hear "coke bottle stuck on the end of my thumb". Close, it is "end of my tongue". This one sounds like a lot of different words but in UHF, "you better put away your homework, prime time ain't no time off thing", or "plymoth thing", I've heard "kind of thing". The actual line is "you better put away your homework, prime time ain't no time to think". Sometimes I still forget and say other words. To me it is the most mistakable Al lyric.
What a racket they're makin', Jack, they keep me up at night playin' their electric guitars!!

Have another one I actually just caught today and can't believe I have been singing wrong for years. "We saw the sign said Twine Ball Exit 50 Miles", I always for some reason thought it was "We saw the sign said Twine Ball Lake, said 50 Miles".

I was never a big fan of Couch Potato, mainly because most of the shows he mentioned wern't ones I watched, and the couple he did mention that I watched I disliked he was making fun of. XD

(And I wish I could erase the existence of 'Are You Hot?' from my memory, but this song prevents it.)

...

For 15 years, I have not looked up lyrics, and, thought to myself....

"...There was an allergy show?? Like just talking about allergies??"

15 years later, I'm randomly sitting around thinking... (Because I never watched it, only heard of it...) and randomly my mind is like... "Wait....!!! WAIT...!!! DA ALI G SHOW!!!!!"

O_O

I really feel stupid sometimes. XD

Listening to Pentiums last night.... I just realized what was as useless to Hellen Keller... I thought it was some woman I didn't know, like I was hearing something like "Jade Hayes" :o ... JPEGS... I was always fairly computer savvy, but when this song came out, I hadn't been online yet, and not being online, I didn't really know what a Jpeg was yet. A year later when I found out, I guess I never made the connection.

I wanna say there was one other thing I figured out, but I don't remember.

PS:

(Still works, but just seems like you almost never have to use it)
