anthontherun wrote:"The Alternative Polka" with "Buddy Holly" might find its way onto the bonus disc (or perhaps even replace the original, although I'm not sure how I'd feel about that).
That, plus the air raid sirens in the bridge/coda have been removed entirely.anthontherun wrote:Then you've got the so-called "Alternate Mix" of "Christmas at Ground Zero" that supposedly features louder bells or something but is pretty much identical.
Same. I love digital copies of stuff and use them often (doesn't matter if books, video, or music), but I still love having the physical copy. And yeah, depending on the release date and how limited this is, might wait a bit for a better price, coupon, or such.anthontherun wrote:I'm still a CD guy. Realistically, I listen to the CD once and immediately rip it, but I'm too much of a collector to not own the physical product. The contents of the bonus disc will determine whether this is a "gotta have it day one" purchase or something I can wait to get my hands on.
I wouldn't worry too much. You'll definitely be able to import it if it's only released in the US or North America. Might cost you a bit, but you can get ahold of it, I'm sure.Sappho wrote:If it's only released in the US, with as big of a box as it looks like it's going to be, there's a chance they might not ship it out of country at all. Which would suck.
I love this.Elvis wrote: Yes.
Why would you catch hell for saying something like that? We all have different budgets and buying or not buying something, attending all / just one / no concerts on a tour, and so on doesn't make you less of a fan or less liked here.QuantumError wrote:I'm gonna be crucified for saying this, but a part of me is dreading this release, as I already know I want the vinyl copies for my collection (and in the off chance I ever get a turntable like I've wanted for years) and the CDs so I can listen to them on the go and rip them in lossless...and it's gonna cost a LOT to buy these...*sigh*
Forgot about that. In that case, definitely go for the vinyl. Either way, I think this release is going to be excellent.QuantumError wrote:Well as Bermuda said, the vinyl set is going to be limited release...so I'm probably going to buy that first so I don't miss out on my chance.
That's a perfectly valid and acceptable reason to dread it, though. I kind of feel the same, really. Thinking about getting the vinyls even though I don't have a turntable but the shipping on a box of that kind of weight will be hell.QuantumError wrote:I'm gonna be crucified for saying this, but a part of me is dreading this release, as I already know I want the vinyl copies for my collection (and in the off chance I ever get a turntable like I've wanted for years) and the CDs so I can listen to them on the go and rip them in lossless...and it's gonna cost a LOT to buy these...*sigh*

Probably. Still, there are things that places like Amazon won't ship overseas, I've come across them. But I'm sure there will be a way.Yankopunk wrote:I wouldn't worry too much. I know what you mean. LEGO sets are one of them. Amazon US won't ship those internationally. All else fails, I'll bet some smaller music shops or eBay will ship anywhere.Sappho wrote: Probably.
