I remember reading a fan story (on this very forum!) once where this girl was waiting to meet Al, either by the bus or somewhere, and he snuck up behind her and gave her a good spinny hug-- you know, picks you up and spins you around a little.


And that's where all the daydreams started. <3 If it really did happen-- eeeeeee!!! Sweet AND unpredictable, sounds like our Al to me.

That part where he tears up (and the Rolling Stone interview where it's mentioned that he cries a few times, and his wife even tries to console him, telling him that his success is just his fans loving him like always) always gets me.

How he looked right there was pretty much how he looked when I met him and told him my life's story (a very condensed version, at least) and how he's meant the world to me. He teared up, put his hand to his chest and went "Aww!" and then said, "Come here" and just wrapped me up in a hug and held me for the longest time. Greatest moment ever. I know I talk about it way too much, but it blows me away that HE wanted to hug me. I didn't ask. He was so touched and moved by me that he moved towards me and gave me the biggest, longest, sweetest hug ever.

I feel a tad jealous because a lot of you guys got to meet him and talk to him and have wonderful experiences on how sweet he was. I have one concert under my belt, and while I'm pretty happy, IDK if I'll ever meet him in person. If I did IDK if it would be at a concert (IDK when he's touring again) but hopefully at RI Comic Con? I doubt this year as he's busy as all be, but hopefully. IDK when though. Is he a convention person? I heard he's been to conventions.

You definitely aren't alone with that. Hell, I thought it was pretty obvious that I have horrible depression and anxiety. Plenty of others here deal with that, too. You're not alone.

He really is. I've said it before: many say that almost everyone agrees Mr. Rogers was quite possibly the most beautiful human being around... just a person filled with unconditional love who cared about others so deeply. They say that there's been nobody that wonderful since his passing, but I have to say that I think Al fits the bill quite well.

If you ever do have the opportunity to meet him in person, do it! It's worth any price, and will be one of the happiest moments of your life, guaranteed! I think he's scheduled for a horror convention (strange, I know) in Florida soon. Maybe he will take the odd convention appearance, UHF screening, or other appearance every so often while taking a break from touring.
