Yes... please...
I'm now considering emailing SNL staff and suggesting they should offer Al a cameo of some sort on that night's episode since he'll be right in the area and wouldn't say no.
It'd be cool but it's kind of a problem with him having to do the concert at the same time as the SNL would presumably be going out and it being live and all.
SNL starts at 11:30 eastern. Al's concerts are usually over by 10:30. Even allowing for a meet and greet with the Czars, he'd have time to run across the street.
SNL does a dress rehearsal of the entire show at 8pm, which is filmed so that they can use footage from the rehearsal in case there are any technical difficulties/other issues during the live show. There's no way Al would be able to be a guest that night (not to mention the fact he's on the road all week so wouldn't be able to attend any rehearsals during the week).
There are direct flights from GLA to New York with United, but I don't think I can do it. My mum and dad are little on money atm...
Also, it's a school day, and I'm starting High School the month before. God knows if I have exams.
Yes, Al is going to pull a Phil Collins. Immediately after playing this show, he will board the Concorde jet and play a second show at Wembley Stadium in London.
I couldn't tell a dirt clod from a plate of caviar.
