Sorry my parents were smoking so much weed, everyone!!
Seriously though, is anyone that surprised about this? I've smelled pot at pretty much every concert I've ever been into, including most Al shows too.
Anyway, great review, mom! Sorry I couldn't join you this time. Maybe next summer!

Same here. Definitely smelled some at the Port Chester show, in fact.TMBJon wrote:Seriously though, is anyone that surprised about this? I've smelled pot at pretty much every concert I've ever been into, including most Al shows too.

I've never met your parents Jon, but they sound pretty cool! We'd probably get along quite nicely. Next show I attend, I may just have to come to one of these outdoor venues where it's easier to get away with as opposed to the indoor venues. Al shows are incredible sober but I am high most of the time so I would hate myself if I got kicked out of the show when it has never actually happened. I have been warned many times and most of the time not even bothered but with my luck I'd likely be kicked out at an Al show. Always beside some really young kid too so I feel even more like it's out of the question. But I have smoked it at every show I have ever been to except Al's and have never smelt it at any of his, otherwise I would have lit up as well, always prepared anyway.

I'm not surprised about it, just pointing it out as it was a very strong smell, so it was someone close by me this time. Al shows are usually clean, but I've smelt it at enough other Al shows to know it happens. Usually outdoor but not always.

The last time I smelled something was at the Weird Al concert in Austin a few years ago. It's called Fun Fun Fun Fest for a reason, I guess.

The last time I saw Al was at the Boulder Theater. After TMZ, he commented that this was going to be "a real rock show." Although I didn't happen to smell any "reefer" myself, Alicia would later comment that they did and the whole show went on as planned. Granted this was Boulder, but I just wanted to echo the sentiment that Marijuana at Al's concerts is nothing new.

Re: 7/31/15 The Mann Center, Philadelphia PA
I don't think anybody said that. If we are talking about an Al show, Al would never stop it, it would most likely be security and they don't stop the show, they will just tell you to put it out. At most I have been caught many times in shows at NHL arenas and they once waited for "Go Your Own Way" to finish then asked me to come out for a chat, made sure I had none on me, (they weren't allowed to check anyway) and they let me go back for the rest of the Fleetwood Mac set, I missed nothing. That was the worse experience I've had, the whole point here is just that at Al show when people are seated and there are a lot of children it is harder to work up the balls to light up and is easier for everyone to tell where it is coming from, that was the only point. OH I did have a douchebag at a Heart concert ask me to put it out but he didn't work there or anything and it's a rock concert so I just finished it and stared at him a bit instead of saying anything. Typically I like metal festivals 'cause you can see 30 great bands in a day and be free to party and not get any hassle at all.

Well, as I've mentioned before, I'm usually stoned if I'm posting on the forum so I guess I did say it there in a way but I said I just didn't want him to even though I doubt he would. Probably not outside but there's no saying he wouldn't if it was excessive enough and bothering him he might just get somebody to mention it between songs, who knows. There has been times Tom Petty has stopped his show mid song and asked those people to be removed even though he has songs about it so I wouldn't really put it past anybody. Like I did say, I doubt Al would.
