I dream of questions!

Post by BullMoose »

Since I haven't really... kept up with... Al since Straight Outta Lynnwood, I had a lot of information to catch up on since the concert. It's been a delight! I love to read and watch his shenanigans.

But after watching a whole bunch of interviews, I have questions of my own. I'm sure you do too!

So here's the gist; If you could ask Al some questions, what would you ask? We can use this as a collective for if any of us meet him, or a future AMA if there is one (Post-tour AMA pls).

So? How bout it? If you could ask him some things, what would you you bring up?

Concerts:
Is there a song you like performing the most? Do you bandmates have a favourite song to play?
Do you ever get embarrassed doing Wanna Be Ur Lovr?
How do you deal with "rabid" fangirls (and boys)?
Do you ever wake up on tour and go "Ugh, here we go again...".

TV
For things like AL TV and Face to Face, where you mash up interviews, have any of the celebs you "interviewed" ever contacted you after?
What kind of shows do you like to cameo on most? Gameshows, tv shows, cartoons?

Music
Do you find music is easier to parody now than it was back in the day? Do you like how the style of music has changed or do you prefer the older 'sounds'?
What is your general consensus on new music vs old music?
You mention that you keep watch on the billboards and youtube etc to find music to parody. Have you ever heard a song and instantly went YES. I KNOW WHAT DO! ?
Has there ever been a song you ever regret writing (that has been published)?
Has there been a new favourite song of yours since White 'n Nerdy?
Do Suzanne and Nina have a favourite song?
Will there ever be a "Weird Al" Yankovic feat. Nina song?

Super Obscure
How do you keep your butt waxed when on tour? Do you have a ... spa person worker...??... on the bus to make sure it's pristine every day?
Any headway on that Rubik's Cube movie with Jeff Bridges?

Totally random question I would ask him:

Do you have a special memory when the guys in your band, or a fan, got YOU crackin' up laughing instead of the other way around? <3

I'd love to hear some awesome story he might want to tell.. or two, or three.

I know this is kind of a boring question, but I've always been curious which original song is Al's favorite. I mean he's always asked what is his favorite of the parodies, but I've never heard it asked for the originals.

I would ask him about the process behind the style parodies. The composition, the writing, the recording, which bands he decides to parody, etc.
I'm afraid the minister has fallen through the Earth's crust.

Hmm. I know he plays board games with Nina, but I suppose I'd ask if he has any favourite video games he likes to play (since that was what I studied in college!). I guess I'll also throw out TV show *and* cartoon in the trivial mix.

I would also ask what his favourite social media platform is! I think it's a tie between Twitter and Instagram... I've found recently he seems to update Instagram before Twitter, if that's a hint. Hmm. How does he deal with coming back from doing anything and having (probably literally) thousands of messages?! Does he actually read them all?

He has said in an interview that he would have Fun Zone at his funeral if he had to choose one of this own songs. Don't know if that means it is his favorite.
What a racket they're makin', Jack, they keep me up at night playin' their electric guitars!!

Do you prefer making pistachios of songs or the parodies?
Do you think there would ever be a song you'd included in a Polka Medley that you found the perfect words for to make a parody song out of?
Do you think it's ironic that despite people (teenagers especially) reading 30% more now than they ever used to, everyone seems to SUCK at basic English? You'd think reading more often would lead to better writing! While although things like Facebook and Twitter have horrible writing, that 30% is in relation to reading news articles and interviews and such. Actual word things.
Did Suzanne and Nina still visit every two weeks during your humongous tour? You mentioned before that you try not to go without seeing them for two weeks. Every two weeks for five months must be hard! Do they still try to keep up this task when you're in other countries?
