Album Mashups

Post by Skippy »

Going all Inception here and spinning off of this spin-off thread:

Take any album that you think isn't up to par and merge it with either the previous or next album (So, you can do Polka Party! + Even Worse OR Dare To Be Stupid, but not Polka Party! + Alpocalypse) to create a better track list. You don't have to stick to the 5/6/1 modern format, BUT you can have no fewer than 4 parodies, no more than 6 originals, and no more than 1 polka. Total tracks should be between 10-12, but you can go to 13 if you use a song under two minutes or UHF commercial parody.

In other words, it should look like a realistic WAY album, not your personal favorites from those two albums.

3. Trash Day
4. Close But No Cigar

ETA: Mashup-y title plus Jon's ratio idea.

UHFf the Deep End

1. Smells Like Nirvana
2. Generic Blues
3. Spam
4. When I Was Your Age
5. Polka Your Eyes Out
6. Trigger Happy
7. Money For Nothing/Beverly Hillbillies
8. Spatula City
9. Let Me Be Your Hog
10. You Don't Love Me Anymore
11. Isle Thing
12. The Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota

7 UHF / 5 OTDE

I really, really like this album. I made a playlist of it on iTunes just to see how the Let Me Be Your Hog/You Don't Love Me Anymore transition felt, and ended up listening to the whole thing. There's just a really nice flow to it. This is probably how I'm going to listen to these two albums from now on. There's really nothing essential missing for me, and I'm happily surprised with how the back half of this arrangement works.
