What is your lame claim to fame?

My grandmother went to school with Bob Barker at one point, my mom met Harry Chapin, and Emma Stone liked a post I made on her Facebook wall a few years ago.

How could I have forgotten? Sarah Silverman pulled me out of the audience once to use as a "straight woman" for a comedy bit she was trying out. It wasn't as flattering as it sounds. I felt more like she was doing prop comedy.

I thought the point of the song (and the phrase, in general) is that YOUR claim to fame (basically, the thing that makes you unique) is that you once almost met a celebrity or even DID meet a celebrity, instead of BEING a unique person (creating something, being an artist that OTHERS might admire, or just doing something great or at least attempting to).

So basically making something so pointless and lame (because, after all, celebrities ARE just other people) YOUR claim to fame.

The point of the song is, this person has never directly met someone famous. That being said, I went to high school with the current bass player for Elton John, and his brother, who plays drums for Ringo Starr. My own little lame claim to fame relating to my band - Someone at the grocery store recognized me and said "I know you! You're Problem Child!"
What I would GIVE to take a smurf in the house of Elton John's bass player. #morelikeNEI(notenoughinformation)

What is your obsession with taking a smurf in a famous or nearly famous person's bathroom? It really is more than I want to know.

Another lame claim to fame - I almost met Jonah Ray, but he couldn't get a flight out to Detroit. I went to a taping of The Nerdist Podcast last year. It was a hostful show, so it was Chris Hardwick and Matt Mira, and Jonah was supposed to be there as well, but things didn't work out. I did get to meet Chris and Matt. :D No, I don't think it's lame that I met them. I even got hugs.

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

My neighbors next to our house are friends with Katy Perry's parents and they come to visit here every now and then. I met them and they gave me a signed poster and Katy Perry chapstick...both things that me, as a guy, will probably never have much use for.
