Doug Loves Movies Podcast

Post by RyRyTheJewishGuy »

Al is on the most recent Doug Loves Movies Podcast! I'm listening now. Doug Benson's newest comedy album is called Forced Fun. What a coincidence!

Here's Doug's Vine of everybody holding up the name tags they picked from the crowd. You can download the podcast for free from iTunes.

Al mentions having worked on a musical about Edison and Tesla that never went anywhere. Was that already common knowledge?

I do recall him saying he was working on a musical, or that he was working on a Broadway Musical. It was one of those things he refused to talk about in fear it would fall through eventually. Looks like he knew what he was doing. Still, would have been awesome.

Could this have been what he was approved to work on for Cartoon Network? Or was it Adult Swim? I can't remember.

He was working on a live action (?) movie for Cartoon Network. The musical was something he talked about more recently, at least according to this forum post from 2013 viewtopic.php?p=794655#p794655" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Here's an article about Al thinking about a Broadway musical, from 2011 http://www.ktvu.com/news/entertainment/ ... iew/nFT6F/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Nope. He has said it twice in two days on two podcasts. Im sure if they backed a truck full of money up to his house he might renew, but it doesnt sound likely. He has alot more freedom this way, plus he can make more money

Did it sound like he meant MF will be his last album at all, or just his last album as a major-label artist? Someone with Al's level of name recognition doesn't really need a label to make an album succeed.
