Also, I wouldn't mind hearing "Trigger Happy" or "I Was Only Kidding" at some point but it's doubtful at this point.

Unless Al up and decides to start doing like, 3-4 hour sets but that's unlikely.

There's a lot of songs I'd like to hear. I did get my wish though. He did do "Let Me Be your Hog" last concert I went to. :inlove:

Yeah, and I really loved it when he did "You Make Me" and "Good Old Days" when I saw him last year. I just want him to do more stuff he hasn't touched yet.. not just the same ol same ol again and again

Isn't like, half the audience at his concerts people who've seen him countless times anyway, hence hearing the same old, over and over again?

Back on topic though, I did find my copy laying about so I should be popping it in in a little bit.

This month marks the 20th ANNIVERSARY of this glorious work of art! What an amazing album...20 years later!! Al should do You Don't Love Me Anymore again this year in the set, or if not, another great original from this album, they all rule.
What a racket they're makin', Jack, they keep me up at night playin' their electric guitars!!

This was the first Al album I ever bought!!! Back then, I actually remember feeling slightly self-conscious heading up to the checkout counter, wondering if it was uncool to buy a "Weird Al" CD (even though I wanted it so bad). After all, wasn't he just considered a novelty act? How could I explain what I saw in him? Would I be laughed at?

Needless to say, I have changed a LOT since then!!!! Al Yankovic, you were, are, and always will be THE coolest. 8)

Aw man, now the depressing thought... not only will I NEVER be as cool as Al, but this also means I'm 20 years older... d'oh!!

I must have bought that album as a toddler... :F

I got this CD for my 14th birthday last year, and when it gets to You Don't Love Me Anymore, after the end of the song it continues playing ABSOLUTELY nothing for about 10 minutes and then it plays the scream like the one heard at the end of the credits of The Weird Al Show.

does anyone have any idea as to why the CD does this?

That's called "Bite Me." It was put at the end of the album to scare the absolute crap out of anyone listening. I believe it's also a parody of a Nirvana hidden track.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

This album was my introduction to Weird Al, and it's still the only album I have. I found it for super cheap at a thrift shop, and snagged it because it looked like it'd be fun. It's a tape, so it doesn't have that famous Bite Me hidden track. Anyway, I enjoy it a lot - I've played it countless times in the year I've owned it, mostly in my car when the CD player was broken down. Smells Like Nirvana is a great track, and I love how Weird Al sings more clearly than Kurt, while mocking the unintelligibility of the song. Trigger Happy never fails to make me happy. I Can't Watch This holds true over 20 (!) years later. The polka is great fun, although a little bit awkward to listen to with parents. I Was Only Kidding feels a bit overboard, but is still fun. The title of The White Stuff may be misleading, but it's typical Weird Al, and I confess I sort of like the music. When I Was Your Age is a classic, with a great groove and riff. Taco Grande is an occasion for me to sort of recall my Spanish. I love Airline Amy, too, such a great tune. The Plumbing Song is nice and relaxing, but I find I get lost in it too easily. You Don't Love Me Anymore, again, is classic Weird Al.

Good starter album, Driven! Have you at least heard Al's other stuff, even if you don't actually own the albums?

I got Al, Jim, Steve and Jon to sign my Off The Deep End Cassette. It should be in a safe but I just keep it with my giant cassette collection.
