I saw at least one pic on Twitter of Al posing with a kid and somebody in a Navy Band uniform, so it couldn't have been a complete shut-out. But it occurs to me... how long would it have taken Al to meet-and-greet the WHOLE NAVY BAND? More time than he had available, for sure.

I saw a few more comments from this person that were not so nice. Sounds like a case of moldy tangerines to me. You make a good point, Helen. How many members are in the Navy Band? I imagine quite a few.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

There are a whole stageful of them; 45 members of the Wind Ensemble plus 6 members of the rock/pop subgroup called the Destroyers. BTW, I found that pic I mentioned; clearly not everybody went Al-less that night.

I saw a clip of the "Canadian Idiot" performance on YouTube. That is a very sharp looking jacket. I can see how it indicates Al wanting this song to stay in the setlist for a while. Now, it looks like he has a definite costume for it on the next album tour cycle wherever he ends up placing it in the set. Whenever the next tour is, timing must dictate that "CNR" will probably be dropped from the set. He may not wear the black dress shirt and will probably go into "Canadian Idiot" coming off an unknown song. As silly as this might sound I could probably see Al keeping "Money For Nothing/Beverly Hillbillies" at the top of the next medley wearing this jacket with "Canadian Idiot" in the spot right after it.

Saw the performance of Canadian Idiot on YouTube with the new jacket. What does he say after "beer-swilling" instead of hockey nut? It sounds a bit like... techie?

Well CNR will be gone next tour because its an original and a new albums original will replace it. Maybe he will make a song about maple syrup so he can use the jacket for two songs.

And it sounded like techie or trekkie

That's a nice photo, and that Navy Band member was obviously very pleased. It's a real shame this other person continues to paint a negative picture of Al.

Haven't you confused CNR and Canadian Idiot? I agree, CNR will probably be gone after the next album, but Canadian Idiot will probably stick around; it seems to be a very popular parody.

Helen, Mike's comment is coming off of what is Killingsworth said, that Al will have to put a different song in CNR's spot, since it will be gone, and figure out a way to segue into Canadian Idiot from there. Mike is also saying that Canadian Idiot will still be around, and that maybe Al might write another song with a Canadian theme (maple syrup) so he can keep the jacket on longer.
