No, it does have an Indian. (Native American? Native Indigenous Person?) But it is a tad different than the test pattern I shared.

Wow. Could this be the first time that question has been asked (in regards to UHF)? And that's not to make fun of the question, mind you, as it's now as valid as asking what a U.H.F. station is.

It's just amazing how little need there is now for a test pattern as almost every channel now runs 24 hours of programming. I still remember that little phrase at the bottom of every TV station listing in the newspaper, "Sign Off."

And Manda, in case you haven't heard, only I apparently offend by using proper adjectives.

RE: Test patterns. I have been trying to remember if they were on all the time that the station was off air, or just for a short time before and after the broadcast day.

I bet you young 'uns didn't know that the broadcast day on television stations always started and ended with The Star Spangled Banner.

Man, am I old...

Nowadays, if a local station's broadcast day does in fact "end," you'd most likely see the 3:35 repeat of yesterday's "5th Wheel."

Does anyone even have independent local stations anymore, such as U-62, or have they all been gobbled up by UPN and The WB?

Well I do. To me it reminds me of U62. Its only one where I live that we get local news and its even similar its Z27(something like that.)

instead of U62.

I think the test patterns were on all night. (Yeah, I remember 'em, too.) And all our local stations got gobbled.

Hey al

I couldnt find the al commentary topic for uhf but thought i would write it in here. Someone had asked what they thought of it. I loved the commentary. I could not believe how much al could remember about the production.

I loved it when he would step up to get a donut for Jay Levy or something like that.

The parts where Al popped up on screen really caught me off guard. I laughed my head off, it's been missing since October.
