You're misunderstanding.
What I think he's saying is, instead of having gameplay/chitchat out here in Polls and Games, it'd be in a different Survivor sub-forum. Minor Celebrities would still have their private sub-forum, and Jungle Cruise Guides would still have their private sub-forum. But then there'd be some in-between stuff where everybody could post.

Basically go look at the Music sub-forum on here. There's a sub-forum for each album, but there's also regular topics not in any sub-forum.
So MC would have an invisible sub-forum and the JCG have their invisible sub-forum, but everyone can access the non-subforum stuff.

Unless I'm misunderstanding the message.

Oh I see now, thanks. Yeah, I'm all for that idea if the rest of you guys want to do it.

I had no problem telling my fam I was doing a Weirld Al Survivor game. Of course two of them are Al fans AND Survivor fans :)

I have no opinion about the forums. I am fine either way.
Is my dude a dweeb?

If we want to say anything to each other we can do so on the Chit Chat Thread, right? What would be in this communal subforum exactly other than one Chit Chat thread?
I couldn't tell a dirt clod from a plate of caviar.

Yeah, I'm fine keeping things the way they are now, too.

Right, so the only real difference would be that challenges and Tribal Councils would be individual threads. I think the suggestion was more a hypothesis that it would spur more discussion between the tribes--although, as I told the person who brought this up, it's partly intended by design to keep the teams as isolated from each other as possible (although anyone is free to post in the chit-chat thread and PM people on the other tribe at any time). There would definitely still be the separate tribe forums either way. Just wanted to get some thoughts on whether a designated Survivor area would make things easier for everyone or if it would be unnecessary (which seems to be the way it's leaning...).

Our tribe has been discussing schedules, and Monday would be a much better time for us, as a few of our members are unavailable this weekend.

I like the two forum approach. Not sure what else there is to talk about in the forum other than challenges though, unless you mean we also should be pretending we really are trapped on a deserted island, and complaining about the excessive heat, lack of food, no access to showers or toilets, and that guy running around all the time without any pants.

I like how the game is being run so far. The only change I would make is also to the kidnapping. Maybe the same change you thought of? I would give the kidnappee some incentive if they switched tribes, such as an immunity idol, or double vote, or advantage in the next challenge, or something. Otherwise why would a person of one switch to the other tribe of nine? They're guaranteed to be low person on the totem pole and voted out next time their new tribe loses.

I'm available any time for the next challenge.

Ok, what I'll probably do then is end this round and start the planning on Sunday night (let's say 10 PM EST), then hold the live part of the challenge on Monday.

"Pretending"? You'd better re-read your contract, mister.

That was something I went back and forth on when I was designing things, and ultimately I decided that I wanted people to seriously contemplate the long-term consequences of switching instead of just going for an immediate boost. But I had something different in mind that first night that I do wish I'd gone with...maybe another season. (I know, I know, I can't hog the hosting but I'd be lying if I said I haven't already come up with twists and challenge ideas that simply can't be squeezed in this season ;) )
