We just watched it again. Eva laughed because she saw only one person jump. "Dont they know how to jump?" Then she asked how he gets so fat for Fat, so I showed her the clip from the Disney special, and she bought it. Now she needs to know how he gets skinny again

I figure even if the DVD comes early, since I ordered from the store, they wouldn't be able to sell it until the day of release. Stupid systems!
What a racket they're makin', Jack, they keep me up at night playin' their electric guitars!!

The show was well edited for television, and had the perfect mix of Alpocalypse and the hits.

I wonder why Canadian Idiot wasn't the usual concert arrangement with the "woo woo"s in it.
I couldn't tell a dirt clod from a plate of caviar.

Because he doesnt want to infringe on copyrights? Same reason he used a generic tag for SD and not the Disney one

Having not seen this concert live this year, a lot of these performances were new to me. So, here is my take.

Pros:

Amish Paradise, Fat, and White and Nerdy still hold up as classic, excellent performances. And in this concert, they appear to be about the only songs where Al actually moves around on the stage.

Canadian Idiot - Solid, wonderful performance punctuated with audible laughs

CNR - Probably the single best performance of the Alpocalypse material

Perform This Way - Not as horrible as it was when I watched it on youtube. I like the use of the dancers and the costumes for the band. I don't think they had those in the youtube clip I watched.

Cons:

TMZ, Skipper Dan, and Party in the CIA - These songs deserve so much better. Too many of Al's newer song performances consist of no choreography other than Al occasionally pointing or holding up his palms. (You could make a drinking game based on every time Al points aimlessly or holds up his palms for no apparent reason during a concert, but you'd die of alcohol poisoning.) Seriously? I think he could have done better. Especially with Party in the CIA, which is just crying for some Miley Cyrus style choreography. That marching thing he does during the chorus just looks really stupid and distracts from the song. He should hire a choreographer for songs like these.

Smells Like Nirvana - I know it's one of his four biggest hit songs ever, but it's getting a bit dated. And the clothes and hair look too clean for the "character" he's playing, especially on my HD television.

Let Me Be Your Hog - Even though I didn't know about this being in the concert, I could see the "punchline" coming a mile away. He could have done something different with it - I don't know.

You Don't Love Me Anymore, Yoda, You Make Me - I really wanted to see these again (does Comedy Central have something against songs starting with the letter "Y"?), but I know they couldn't fit it all in the special. Looking forward to the Blu-Ray on Tuesday.

What would be the copyright infringement on saying "a-woo woo woo oo oo woo"?

I assume you are referring to the Bob and Doug call http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJE3EgTGg9k&feature=fvst. Id imagine they hold a copyright on it, why else would Al take it out
