I don't think that was a working TV. There was a former Sharp tech support person in the comments who diagnosed the problem (on the basis of the blinking-light codes) as a bad main board.

This wasn't the same person who told Al he needed to use an HDMI-compatible rock, but I wish it had been.

Yeah, the best Al could've done is exchanged it for a working TV. And he'll probably make enough money from ads on that one video to buy 27 working TVs. Such is the magic of art.
