I love making goodies for Al. What I loved even more was that when I talked to him on the phone on 6/14/10, I mentioned cookies, and he knew exactly who I was! *Hence my new sig* I hope he wasn't disappointed that he didn't get cookies, since he's the one who said "The diet's over, I guess I can eat cookies now." hehe! My oven is not working, that is why he got chocolates this time.

Aww, thanks, Anna. It was a chocolate cake with buttercream and also the most delicious chocolate frosting you can make in a food processor EVER!! LOL!
I hope Al enjoyed it, smooshed and all.

The chocolates all had flavors to match the colors.
orange - orange
yellow - banana creme
green - creme de menthe
pink - strawberry

The chocolates were made with melted white chocolate chips with color and flavorings added. The chocolate used for the tree trunk was a melted Hershey bar. I usually get my chocolate online, but didn't have time to order it. It still held up in the heat and didn't melt. *I had the chocolates in a cooler* I still have some colored chocolate left. I'll have to make some candy for my family with it. Mmmmm!

Yeah, that cake is pretty amazing! Really nice baking and decorating skills!

If I attempted to create anything like that, I'd accidentally set something on fire.

Thanks, Interrobang! Yeah, I've been decorating cakes since I was 17. I'm 49 now. I enjoy it. I just used a 13" x 9" pan for the cake, and sliced a section on one end off to use for the keys. I had fun making that cake. Alas, I can't bake again until my oven is fixed. That's ok. We're having some rather warm weather here lately.
