I have no idea, but my theory (Huh, I thought I posted this last night) is that he filmed himself singing it forward, then played that footage backward over and over and taught himself how to lip-sync backward.

Thanks that explains it alot better than the word phonetically did especially after looking the word up in the dictionary. The definition didn't make sense to what Al did in the video.

I think it's pretty amazing..the scene in AP, that is. I marvel every time I watch it!

The notes in the liner of The Videos say the same thing...he basically used all the same notes, I noticed, except for IAATP and TSB, as well as Bob.

Hmm, I don't think Bermuda would have used the term phonetically to describe how Al did that if he didn't do it that way. Did that make sense? In other words, Jon doesn't go around lying about stuff like that.

Patti's right. And remember, he didn't have to sing it backwards, only lip synch it. The song is dubbed over all videos anyway, isn't it?

I did say in one of my posts that he sang it backwards. I should have said he phonetically sang it backwards, just like Jon said. That may have confused people. Anyway, yeah, I'm pretty sure all the videos have the song dubbed in. Al said in his BTM that he doesn't lip-synch, except in music videos. We all know that's true! That's why we love him so!
