It would be cool if Fun Zone was transferred from pre-concert countdown to the song they broke into in the middle of Albuquerque, or when they messed up instead of "Radio Radio" etc. It would be cool to hear a live version of this some day.

Sorry to restart a topic after almost a year, but I figured this was the best place to put this.

Back at AL-Fest, I completely and utterly KILLED two minutes of your time you'll never get back with my new version of "Fun Zone" WITH LYRICS! Yes, I dared to write lyrics to "Fun Zone." I was kinda hoping someone would record it, just in case schedule conflicts got in the way of my immediate lynching, but that didn't happen. So I figured I'd post my lyrics here. Enjoy!

Get me a passport to the fun zone
I’ve been dead for a hundred years, and now I’m Jonesin’
To steal me a bus, crash through the fun zone
Chase the rodents away, and make the place my own!

People, welcome to my own private fun zone
I’ve got whiskey and rye with cheese and pepperon’
Take a swim in the cold hard cash that I’ve grown
By injecting some cold hard fun into a zone!

In the zone
Never leave myself alone
Makin’ drones, makin’ clones
Armies of clones
Got investors on the phone
With loans!

People, you need no longer postpone
Turning ev-e-ry country into pleasure domes!
How would you like to trade your sin for sno-cones?
Put your sin in the bin and throw a couple stones!

In the zone
I’ll be king of who I own
On my throne, made of bones
Real human bones
I’ll be passing kidney stones
Go home!

I can tell your IDs are fake
And I admire the risk you take
But now you’ve heard too much noise and
I’ll be serving you poison
With your steak
Have fun at the bottom of a great lake

Phase One moving along, they’re all clappin’
My gun’s singing a song, hey what just happened?
Reactor’s overloading
The spaceship is exploding
And the captain's accident prone!
I shoulda known

Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!
When I say Hey! You say Hey!
When I say Follow Me, you obey!
When I break out of prison you will get me get me get me get me
Get me a passport to the fun zone
And I don't know if I'll come home! NO!

That's awesome. You should record that.

And Tony is RIGHT!

It was a major highlight for me and he was fantastic I definitely think it ought to have been recorded for the DVD but alas I'm told it got missed out somehow, mores the pity

Devo Spice and Tony were both incredibly awesome. Tony's spoof of the Alcon1 video was such a huge laugh.. Is that on YouTube at all? I'd love to see it again

"FunZone" kicked ass, bigtime

Next time we have an Al Fest can I borrow your Hindsight Camera? It seems to capture all the great moments that I can't get with a regular "shooting what I manage to get in real time without any forewarning of setlists, let alone trying to have a good time myself" camera.

Hey! I'm not having a go at you, its just at the time I think most of us weren't thinking about the frightening logistics and assumed somehow everything would get filmed.

I recorded a few seconds of it, I didn't think anyone else was filming it, and I really wanted to see that again, i was zooming in and out too much, so its kind of hard to watch, I know Tony still has the video.

Yeah I didn't get any of that either. During most of Tony's set I was socializing or filming the floor or something.
Was in the shower when it got leaked. almost spinned my ankle & dead with my head crack opened #StealMyGirlLeaked #StealMyGirlIsPerfect

What? Maybe I'm delusional or something, but I'm pretty sure it was clarified in advance that not everything would be filmed. But I'm too lazy to do a forum search right now.
