Not picking on Patti, but might as well throw this bit of advice into the mix now: When sending a SASE for a picture of a celebrity, it's usually advisable to use a bigger 9-by-12-ish size envelope, fold it in half, and send it to the person in another 9-by-12 envelope. You'd be paying a little more for postage each way, but it will give the celebrity's mail-handler less of a reason to bend or do other unforgivable things to get the photo into your SASE.algonacchick @ October 15, 2009 11:23 am wrote: Amazing how they fit the signed photo in a regular business sized envelope. They did fold it in half, though.
And also, whenever possible, always include a cut piece of posterboard to go into your SASE to help protect against accidental bending and folding as it gets sent back to you.

Yeah, well, I didn't even know what to expect, but, yes, using a larger envelope would have been a wise move on my part. Greg makes a good point.
I honestly was surprised to get the photo. A treasured item from the fine folks at CPFOA! The fold didn't really cause too much wear on the photo, fortunately.

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

This sounds kind of dumb, but did you actually say, "I would like a photo?"stupidsurgeon27 @ October 16, 2009 01:11 pm wrote: I've written several and included a SASE on all of them except the first one, but never got one back. I just have poor luck.![]()
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.
