Well, books are the only thing he hasn't done yet in the songs, but if he did do something on a book, it would probably be about Twilight, since it's the most popular and stuff, but I and many other people would hate that. He did say he liked HP in the Twitter chat thing. The kind of animation Jib Jab does sort of seems like something that would work with Harry Potter. It would be awesome if he did that, but it's probably just a coincidence.

Hmm...the rest are animated, huh? That should be interesting. I wonder if he's taking the same approach he took for SOL and going with some of his favorite animators. I also wonder if JibJab will be the only repeat animator.

The Harry Potter thing would be interesting, and it would be good timing. I don't know if he'd do something about Harry Potter on its own, though. I could see something more along the lines of making fun of fans of Harry Potter or something like that.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

And then Al surprises us all and does a song about Shakespeare.

Don't you think if he was going to cover Harry Potter it'd be in a parody, not an original?

I love that idea about Harry Potter! That would be fun, and Al's been listening to the tapes on a family road trip, which might be significant

JibJab? yeah we pretty much have that down,
Robot Chicken? Its a STRONG possibility,
Bonnie Rose? well yeah she has been approached, tho we dont know if its gone further

Paul McCartney? We know SOMETHING mysterious happened at Coachella
White Stripes? Someone suggested them on here a few weeks back.I like that idea a LOT
Killers? also a possibility..

OK really I got nothing.. next..?

Not sure Al would tackle Shakespeare, considering his pal MC Lars already did (Hey There Ophelia- on the This Gigantic Robot Kills cd)

I hope Al doesn't make a Harry Potter song, cause the one I'm doing should get pretty big if all goes well...

The movie is coming out around the song, but I do wanna caution don't get your hopes up yet, Something ____ This Way Comes is a very common saying. But yeah, the timing: There's gotta be a reason he picked at least one of the specific dates.

That being said, I'm guessing that JibJab blurb pretty much confirms they're video is up next...I don't see them advertising something this far in advance if it's one of the August songs.
You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?

On top of our next big political piece, we may be doing something with Al himself this summer

Again, it does say "may." It probably is likely, but it doesn't say "will"

On JibJab's Facebook page:
JibJab wrote: Weird Al is here, showing him color passes of our animatics for his music video. Going to be filming with him a little bit today too!

Well I guess that answers that question. It certainly would seem that JibJab is animating the video for the song that will be released on July 14, considering they're already working on it.
