The "OC Register" ran a story yesterday about the financial problems the Orange County Fair is facing.

Moreover, the report notes that the $2.5 million Al's Brain project, a 3-D movie featuring Weird Al Yankovic, could be up to 4 percent over budget during the next two years. A theater is being built for the project, but it will not be ready in time for the July fair, so "Al's Brain" will be housed in a temporary tent.

Well, yeah, they're having it in a tent, but at least they're having it. And some tents can be quite palatial.
I was thinking that if they're having cost overruns, I doubt very much that they can be laid at Al's door, considering how very financially disciplined he is when doing his videos. It's probably the theater building, not the film, that's taking them to the cleaners.

"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

Al's Brain is now integrated on the main page of the OC Fair website! Before it was just a small little link, but now it's part of the graphic.
