CatraDhtem, are you still taking video submissions for the doc?
I most certainly am.
I posted about this over on the blog, but I
am attending Al Fest, and I will be taping interviews with whomever still wants to appear on camera (this will be primarily why I'm there). This will be the last chance for anyone to be a part of the documentary, so expect a cut-off date for other submissions to be around that time as well.
It's a barebones list right now, but I have uploaded a wishlist page detailing some things I would like to have for the video.
Also, have you thought about putting the title up on IMDB? If so, I can help as I have submitted many titles. Just let me know.
I appreciate the offer, but I'm holding off on putting anything up on the IMDb just yet for a couple of reasons.
They simply don't like me there. Years ago I added a title that I was actually further along with than I currently am with the documentary, and the next thing I know I'm involved in some stupid e-mail argument with an editor at the site, who claims that they have to remove the title because the likelihood of my project being finished was in question.
When I pointed out that at the time they still had entries for an upcoming "Wonder Woman" movie and a "Ghostbusters 3" (this being around '96 or so), and that the likelihood of those were in serious question, suddenly I get an "I cannot discuss this any more" type of reply. Sigh, whatever.
But seriously, mostly I just don't want to jinx myself, because really anything could happen at this stage. I already suffered one major technical setback a while ago that I'm just now catching back up on. I don't want to make any major announcements (title and date) until I'm in a comfortable enough position to know it's going to get done.
Having said all that, things are going nicely with it. I did a great deal of additional research today at the library (the person at the microfiche desk is probably so sick of seeing me), and I'm shooting some footage tomorrow.
