The score currently stands at 13 - 3. As for right now, the voting will continue until 5:15pm PST, but we will see what the tally looks like mid-day tomorrow...

Regardless, I recommend that anyone who has been participating in Worst Song Tournament over the last couple months should be sure to check in within the next 36 hours in order to cast a vote for the final round: Weird Al's Worst Song....

It's time for the Worst Song Tournament Awards!!!!!

I decided to do this because I wanted to give recognition to the many of you who have loyally followed this thread since its inception two months ago. Without you, there would be no tournament. I am sorry I could not include everyone in these awards, but I did my best.

So let's get on with it...

Most Frequent Voter - This award obviously goes to the voter who voted most frequently throughout the tournament and as it turns out this is a tie.
The winners are JEDM and Big Spoon.

In A Pinch Award - This award is presented to the voter who cast their vote when it really counted (aka when I was trying to go to bed, or leave the house, and needed one more vote cast so I could post the next match-up and leave already). This may seem trivial to you, but this role was incredibly valuable to me.
This award has an AM winner and a PM winner:

Most Loyal - This award goes to the voter who consistently voted throughout the tournament, regardless of the day, time, or season. This voter was most enthusiastic, and gave the tournament free publicity around the forum. Again, we have a tie.

Agreed With TMBJon Most - This award goes to the voter who voted the way I would have the most often. The winner of this award did not vote as often as many of the other members, but percentage-wise voted the way I would have nearly every time.

Disagreed With TMBJon Most - This award goes to the voter who voted the opposite way I would have most often.

Healthy Dissent Award - This is the award for the voter who voted the opposite way of the consensus of the forum most often, for better or worse. This award holds a special place in my heart as I would have most likely won this award if it was presented during the Best Song Tournament 2.0.

One Track Mind Award - This award goes to a voter who apparently joined this forum exclusively to vote in this tournament exactly twice, and has not posted on the forum in any other capacity.

One Vote Wonder Award - This award goes to a voter who voted exactly once the entire tournament. Maybe twice. I would know for sure if the search function of this forum worked in any meaningful capacity.

WOWAY Validation Award - This award goes to the voters whose participation validated the tournament within the world of the WOWAY forum, due to his (or her) stature within the community.

Most Likely to Appreciate This Tournament - This award goes to the voter who, based on what we know about the person, is most likely to appreciate the concept of rating and judging which of Weird Al's songs are the absolute worst. This person embodies the very spirit of the Worst Song Tournament.

The Decider Award - This award goes to the voter who, as it turns out, often cast the vote that broke the most ties, decided the most close calls, and - by extension - decided the fate of the tournament.

I feel that I give a valuable insight into these contest proceedings, given that I have not heard most of them beforehand and can judge them on that initial impact.
