yes it hurt like a motherfu......... it hurt ALOT, especially the tree, and its still not done, my guy moved to missiouri, and no one knows where he went, so its done for now, it was done in 4 sittings, first Al, then the wolf and color, then the tree, then more color, when i took off the bandage from the tree, my leg was all black and blue with 3 flesh stripes from where the tape was, it got me really nervous, but it went away

Grom, I had the pleasure of seeing Dave's tattoos up close for the first time when I met him this summer at my very first Al concert this past summer. I'm not him, but I bet they hurt a great deal!

Well, my computer is being evil, so I can't see your tattoo, Fred. I bet it's pretty cool, though. Anything that detailed understandably would hurt. I've watched people on tv getting tattoos worked on, and seeing them grimace is not always fun. But I suppose the final result is worth all the pain.

You've PMed Dave and Fred right??

If I was ever going to get a tattoo (and being a total wimp, it will probably NEVER happen(!)) I would consider just a 27, like OE said...it's a number, so it's not something that'll ever CHANGE...or get old really...but if you don't get the joke, I guess not...

Fred thats awesome. Did you sort of try and get it like the one from Jurrassic Park or was that a fluke?

I wouldnt mind a reasonably big one. If i have to go through pain to get an al tat i will. Im waiting to get my UHF dvd this week so i will see what ideas i can get from that.

I didn't have any black and blues or problems healing if that's what you mean by "ouchie."

While they were being inked, at first they hurt about as much as you'd expect a tattoo getting inked to hurt. After the first few minutes, adrenaline kicks in and it becomes soothing. It's hard to explain to someone who's never been tattooed. The worst part was where the tattoo is over the bone.

After about two hours, the adrenaline wears off and your skin is really raw. I'm guessing that's about all I can take, two hours worth at a time. None of my tattoos took longer than that, but I was pretty much ready to get out of there after about two hours.

Two hours sounds like a long time. I don't think I'd be a good candidate for a tattoo. I have a low tolerance for pain. I'll just admire other people's tattoos instead.
