Or he could take one concert video recording from each year (and film a new one from the current tour, and use the old Live one) and get some professional people to remaster them for BluRay and 3-D and sell them all in some awesome box set.weirdal4994 @ September 23, 2008 06:04 am wrote: He should release something that's like got both LIVE! if he did another. Also, he should do what pear jam did and record every show and sell the dvd. Then, the Star Plaza Theater is always a great show for them and a great audience.

From Ask Al, June 9, 2007
Sorry if this point has been brought up already. Al has shown interest in an HD release, and with Blu-Ray taking off with success (not near phasing out DVD, I know), I'm sure Al will be looking into this technology for the release of White & Nerdy, and future videos that will almost for certain be shot in HD. Well, if he were to do this, he'd need more HD material to work with, and a couple more music videos from the next album wouldnt be enough material to warrant an entire HD release. And releasing the videos from 2003 and older is redundant since they're shot in standard def anyway.
I think if White & Nerdy is ever to see the light of day in the *near* future on Blu-Ray, another LIVE! video would be the way to get it out there, and have White & Nerdy on there as a bonus, like he did for WAY Live with Pentiums and Saga.
And as redundant as Al thinks it is, the fact is, is there's plenty of NEW material in this past tour to overshadow how redundant another release of Smells Like Nirvana, and the other couple repeat songs is. I sure wouldnt mind another video to watch of Pentiums and Nirvana, thats for sure.
Actually, I can't wait until HD-DVD or BluRay discs are more prevalent in the marketplace - most people have only seen the video in low res on MySpace or on You Tube, and as I've said before, we shot the thing in HD... it looks gorgeous!
