Weird Al Charity Auction

HI, I"m new here, and I'm not sure if this is allowed or not - if not my apologies in advance.

I run a charity project that Weird Al gratiously participated in the other night. What I do is take photos of musicians and bands holding a Comfort Doll, have them autograph an index card and then auction both off and send the proceeds to either World Vision or Icross Canada.

Al wonderfully posed for a photo holding a Comfort Doll and autographed an index card and the auction starts tomorrow, Monday August 25. IT runs for 5 days and the money is going to World Vision this time.

What's a comfort doll? Glad you asked

Its a small knitted doll that Icross uses instead of packing foam when they send shipments of HIV medicines to African clinics. Once the meds are unpacked, the dolls are given to the local children, many of whom are HIV positive and/or AIDs orphans.

To find the auction - go to eBay and search Weird Al Yankovic Comfort Doll and it should come up - i dont want to post a link here in case its not allowed. As i said, i'm new and still feeling my way around here;.

I think ebay links are allowed - and if this if for charity, I can't imagine anyone objecting!

Just for future reference, we have a topic for eBay items, so posting auction links isn't a problem. Normally I'd merge this with that topic, but since it's for a good cause I'll let it stay on its own for now.

This really cool! I'll be sure to place some form of a bid. I sponsored world vision a few years ago for one year. It is a really great program.
