I just replied to the same XM email. I asked for tickets but haven't heard anything back yet.

I am guessing it's an Artist Confidential session -- the band plays live, discusses their songs, and takes questions from the audience. I LOVE the Artist Confidential series!!!!!

Anyway, wish me luck! Minnick, best of luck to you as well!

I got that e-mail too, but didn't see it until today. It went straight into my spam folder. I just happened to check it before emptying it today. I normally don't. I sent an e-mail, but I'm sure it's too late.

I get a call from someone today, but their phone was so scrathcy I didnt get the full message. I got most of a phone number and that it was their "first call" to me. I dont know if it was XM or not, I know it wasnt the bill collectors, I know that number! So hopefully they call back tomorrow.

If the number had a 202 area code, then it might have been XM.

I haven't heard anything yet. I am not good at this patience thingy, ya know.

Great concert weekend this weekend -- The Fixx tonight and Al Friday and Saturday.

I know the channel was removed years ago from XM and it's been on autopilot ever since, but it's worth noting that Special X has officially left the DirecTV lineup, so I guess it's last gasps are over. :(

They better still do Special X-Mas :x:

Random Al reference on XM:

Rick Dees' Weekly Top 40 contest (on the 80s Channel):

Guess the song, send in a postcard, and get a car stereo and a sweet UHF t-shirt from Al's yet-to-be-released movie.

These countdowns are such great time capsules!

When I still had XM with AOL I enjoyed listening to the Casey Kasem AT 40s -- everything I learned about 70s music I probably learned from Casey Kasem. In my radio market back in the day Dr Demento was on right after AT 40 -- hence the beginning of my appreciation for Al.
This means something. This is important.
