And expensive! I got a room at the Best Western Park Crest on Munras Ave for $243- with my AARP discount! Thanks for the heads up, steaming!

This seems to be a really big event.

This reminds me of Al's Reno show in 2004 that coincided with Street Vibrations, that really big Harley-Davidson biker rally that was being held the same weekend. It was also very hard to find an affordable hotel room and Vikki, Elvis, Jackie and I ended up sharing a room at the Atlantis Casino. We were elbow-to-elbow with thousands of intoxicated leather clad bikers who were surprisingly polite and pleasant, particularly considering how drunk many of them were through much of the festival. One wonders if the Pebble Beach crowd will be anything like them.

On second thought, I'd probably rather be around the intoxicated bikers. They were fun. 8)

I found a room in Seaside, which we will probably discover was available because it was hors d'elegance. :P

Hey! I think it will be just fine.

It's only about 10 minutes from the venue. All the close ones are either sold out or way to flippin expensive. If anyone else is looking for a room, try Seaside. We can carpool if needed.

seaside, huh? hmm...might have to look into that. i don't want to drop more than 150 for a nite. nor do i want to stay at a motel 6. the gf is supposedly going to inquire one of her friends that works at a hotel on cannery row, but it seems very likely its a not happening situation due to the car show. i don't even care for show cars....

I'm stayin' at the Clarion Inn in San Jose, its $89/night, but once I can I'm gonna attempt to reserve it for my rewards points. (can only do that 30 days out) but if its not available by then with points, atleast i'm only paying $89/night.

I'm used to driving all over the place, so if you say its 3 hours (which its only about an hour according to mapquest, and yes, I know mapquest can be wrong) away so be it. I drive by myself all the time, and I'm use to the commute. Not a big deal. I'll have my possessed GPS with me too.. LOL

I drive 8-9-10 hours by myself occasionally. So if it is infact 3.. then I'll deal with it. Instead of paying $300/night for a room near the venue. LOL
