Nice, WAYF. Thanks for adding to my vocabulary. (At first I was sure you'd just misspelled "integrity," which is something else Al has lots of.)
Praise AL!

Your list is great! I'm a fan of letters M, N, O, and T.

I was going to originally do it for school extra credit... The teacher said it had to be 5 lines but I ended up making it 25 Lines, I ended up getting 25 Extra credit points instead of just the 5 everyone else did..haha. But my family thought it was so great my cousin framed it and sent it to me by UPS.. So thats the story of that.

Heres mine, the idea is the lines go two syllables four, six, eight, two.

Weird Al
Long, curly hair,
Flexible, and happy
Accordions, and spatulas
Weird Al
Oh snap!

Hello poetry fans! I'd have gotten this written sooner, but battling brain cancer takes up way too much of my leisure time. Here's another tribute to the man who single-handedly revolutionized the comedy music industry:

Ode To Al 10

Some people sip frappucinos
Or smoke cigarettes (bleah!) or drink wine.
And I’m sure that those things make them feel good,
But they should all get a habit like mine.
I put in a CD, and the music enfolds me,
And I’m hearing his voice do its thing.
It’s like eating ice cream
Or getting a hug from a child;
Nothing’s as wonderful as hearing Al sing.

His perfect voice invokes for me
My hero so brilliant, so funny, so exceptional, so great.
The man who’s brought us so many laughs,
Who saved my life, made me a WOWAY, and inspired (among others) my “Ode To AL 8.”
And so I declare to this greatest of men,
I honor you now with my “Ode to AL 10.”

Endless love, your Kaz-poet :inlove:
Praise AL!

AL is all, All is AL !

That's a great poem!

The 'greatest of all men' part is awesome because it's accurate. :D

EDIT: The poems on this board gave me inspiration to write my own!
I present, for your reading pleasure...

The Yanko-Poem

"Weird Al" Yankovic; what a guy, what a dude!
For his bright, cheery tunes can perk the dullest of moods,
And give joy to the joyless, and other such things.
I believe it's nigh impossible to be upset when he sings.

But his charm doesn't stop at just mere vocal talents.
Why, he once stood on a sway pole with impeccable balance!
He's quite flexible, as well, and has good looks for sure,
With his long curly hair and Hawaiian couture.

There's no man nor beast that can claim such success
At playing the accordion; He's done that with excess.
Whether rock polka medley or that Ear Booker tune,
His talent level of playing'll send you straight to the moon.

In short, he's superlative! He's trounced 'celebrity' standards
And gotten droves of fans, from housewives to band nerds.
Indeed, he's the best, he's left his mark on the past, he's
The Prince of Parodies, Weird Al! (Mr. Yankovic, if you're nasty.)

great poem, but when you said "houswives or band nerds," that got me knocked of my course of reading because me myself and a "band nerd" and we do not appreciate that title, we prefer the title "band geek" and phrase in my school :stern:

Band nerd, Band geek. They are the same thing. Get over it.

Fantastic poem, Jessica. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Stolen. Plundered. Purloined. Ha,ha. Loins.
