Because of John Mellencamp tooting his own horn by announcing to his fans at a concert last week that he was informed by the Rock Hall that he will be inducted in 2008, the Rock Hall has moved back it's press release to next week, Thursday, December 13, 2007. NOT JANUARY! 5 will be inducted and they are also bringing back the Non-performers and Sidemen categories this year and maybe Lifetime Achievement Award. So 8 could be inducted!

Well, I guess this is both a heads-up and a call to arms, but this weekend (both Friday and Saturday night) Al will be making surprise appearances at the Steve Allen Theater in Hollywood for a holiday sing-along concert hosted by none other than Harry Shearer and his wife. I've already updated the Tourography with ticket information.

If anyone actually knew about this already and was planning to go to either show, it would be extremely wonderful of you if you could please smuggle in a page or two of the petition with you. I don't know who else will show up as far as surprise guests go, but one can't go wrong with trying to get Mr. Shearer on board, someone who I would hope recognize the importance of getting a rock satirist honored.

Let me know if anyone's interested.

Ok, that just bites! Hey is Al able to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame??? I know its been many years since his first record. Oh, well I guess there is always 2009! Hopefully. He really does deserve more credit for all the work he's done. I mean heck, he has lasted longer than some of the artist he's parodied. I mean what has oh, Coolio been up to? Or Better yet, what the monkey has Michael Jackson been up to besides being a fruit cake? Heesh, that guy freaks me out!!
