Al Song on NFL Today!!!

Post by Driew_La_27 »

I'm not sure how many of you watch football, but if you do then you might have noticed something on NFL Today on CBS. They were doing an article on Ricky Williams, a running back for the Miami Dolphins, when they started up the song Ricky by Al!!!! :) I was so excited, and when the girl would say hey Ricky they would flash up Ricky's name. They had the accordian going and everything.

Just wanted to know if anyone else say this. I think Al is getting the attention that he deserves. Even though they didn't say that song was done by Weird Al Yankovic; I think most people would have noticed that it was a parody of Mickey.

There was also another time on CNN when they had like a hotdog eating contest between the people who work on CNN, and while they were eating the dogs they started to play Eat It.

Has anyone else seen these or anything like it? Please let me know.

One time on Total Request Live they were eating pizza and played Eat It. I don't actually watch TRL (I really can't stand it), but I just happened to see it when I was channel surfing. I love how that happens. :)

At some MTV award show (last year), they were giving out an award for the most gross thing edible (something like that) on a TV show, and had the video of Eat It playing in the left hand corner.

A few years ago, I was at a local baseball game, and they had these animal mascots spoofing famous baseball players come out between innings and do funny stuff with music playing...one of them was "Clammy Sosa", who ate one of the baseball players, and they were playing "Eat It" (which seems to be the frontrunner for Al songs in the media right now. :P) It was before I was a die-hard Al fan, but nevertheless, I knew of the song and found it cool they played it.

I know there's seperate topics for Al songs appearing on other shows, but I felt they should be categorized, I guess.

Anyway, I was working on a reading response to a humorous piece I read for English while my family watched Wheel of Fortune. It was their 4,000th episode and they were showing clips and bloopers. Naturally, doing a segment on food, they played "Eat It" while showing those clips.

Ah, life is good today.

Why would "Wheel of Fortune" have a segment on food? I haven't seen the show in a while. Have they added a new food showcase at the end?

Food-related puzzles, I think.
Hmmm...something's gone horribly awry here...

No, it was times when Vanna or Pat bring out food, randomly eat some food, or shove food in each other's faces.

I once heard the song Eat It on Channel One News (It's this cheesy "teen" news program they makes us watch in the mornings at skool). If I recall correctly, it was a segment about a diabetic girl who had to limit what she ate every day.
