It sure was, somewhere between 45-50 if you count the backs of pages :)

I couldn't figure out how to enlarge the page; what did I say in that section? I think I've posted in that thread two or three times so I was just wondering which post was used.

I can tell you what you wrote, or rather, which post I used... *delves into the depths of my hard drive*

He's a kind, decent family man who treats everyone he meets with respect. It's too bad the press isn't more interested in people like him.

ETA: I went back, and found I was able to enlarge the pages, so I could read most of them. Very nice! I was pleasantly surprised to see a quote from me in the "What I Like Best About Al" section. Thanks for including me, Emily!
Thanks Patti :D With the quotes, I spent some time surfing around some older topics, like "What I Like Best About Al" and some others, and found some quotes that I believe really emphasis how we all feel about Al and his music. So rather than pages and pages of "Al is awesome" etc, there's just a page or two of some really well written message that echo what we all feel...At least that's what I was going for :lookaround:

I didn't have time to PM everyone, and some of the people aren't active members, so I got WHiZZi's permission to use quotes from around the place. But don't worry, there's nothing but praise in there, nothing to be embarrassed about [except maybe some of those misheard lyrics, cold Buddha hercules :P]

I just love to imagine Al flipping through the book, showing Suzi how much his fans love him, feeling all loved and proud... :lookaround:

...and someday when he's 100, he'll be showing Nina and her kids the souvenirs of his wild career, and she'll look at this book and say, "Gee, Daddy, it seems like you were quite the heartbreaker in your day," and he'll smile and remember the Al-Gals of the WOWAY... :D

Thanks Emily! I thought that was probably the one you used since it was the most recent.

Maybe once Al gets some rest, he'll blog about the tour on his myspace page and maybe he'll mention both the 1000th show book and the birthday book in there. Even if he doesn't, I'm sure he appreciates all the effort and heartfelt messages that were put into both projects.

That would be so awesome. I know it would mean an awful lot to me if it ends up meaning that much to him, and I'm sure it will mean just as much to everyone who contributed.

It sure would. I still smile when I think of the 1000th show book, and how well it was kept secret, and how glad I was to be a part of it.

hehe, Emily, I did look through the misheard lyrics section, and saw mine *and Dave's* famous one that is still the sub-header for that topic. Now Al has it and the other ones you picked to laugh at for years to come. *Big ups for picking modular's Trash Day quote, which gets my vote for the funniest misheard lyric ever*

Ambra, at the top of the page, there's a little magnifying glass. You just click on it.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!
