Well, Melissa posted in the show topic that she saw the show, met Al, and hugged him, so I'd guess it's a safe bet that our birthday wishes are in The Great One's hands right now!
Still, I can't wait to hear exactly what he said when she handed him the book and explained what it is (if she did). MELISSA, please post ASAP!!
Awesome gifts, Ambra. That game looks cute! The card is, too, and that shirt is perfect! I'm sure he loved your gifts!
I'll post my pics, too, now that the concert is over.

The kiss is 3 1/2" wide at the bottom, and about 3" tall. It's filled with peanut butter. I hope Meli got a good shot of Al's face when he saw it! I also gave Al the recipe for the Amish Friendship Bread I gave him last month. I can't wait to see the pics, and read all about Al's reaction to all the gifts!
As far as Melissa posting about all this, she said she was really tired, so we'll just have to wait.
OMG, Patti, that Kiss looks so good!!! And it has peanut butter in it! Makes me wish I at least had some Reese's peanut butter cups in the house somewhere!
I'm actually thinking of getting that game for my 7 year-old nephew for Christmas. It does look like a lot of fun and what convinced me it would be perfect for Al was reading the description of one of the ways to play: Wear one of the caps, have someone throw the balls at you, and you try to catch them and "show off your flexibility and agility".
I'm sure Meli is exhausted. She probably didn't sleep much Friday night because of the excitement--I know I wouldn't--and plus she probably wants to be well-rested before she uploads any vids or pics. Plus, she shares the computer with her family and I'm sure her parents wouldn't approve of her being up during the wee hours. I'm sure as soon as she's rested, she give us a full report.
"My mailbox keeps getting vandalized! Every morning it's full of decapitated action figures and empty inhaler canisters!"
Here are photos of the pages that went inside Al's book [minus albinodwarf27's page, as requested]. Tomorrow I might add the names of the people who have messages on each page, I'm too tired to do it now
The tsunami of immediacy will wash away the flood of grief, and reveal a layer of naive optimism underneath
Wow, Emily! Those pages look great! I had no idea how many there were. I love the last grouping, from various topics here. Fantastic! Can't wait to hear more about everyone's contributions.
ETA: I went back, and found I was able to enlarge the pages, so I could read most of them. Very nice! I was pleasantly surprised to see a quote from me in the "What I Like Best About Al" section. Thanks for including me, Emily!
