sixthed, and may I add a "PLEASE"
At the very least, I'd love to see screen caps of how Al looked, and the OC Fair crowd scenes. Thanks.
This means something. This is important.

But then the song might be changed to "Don't Download This Show".

They had a clip from Thursday's show where Al held my hand and told me I had Yugoslavian hands. :inlove: . [That was me in the hat, on the aisle.] I squealed so loud that all three of my rabbits jumped and then froze. I had to apologize profusely to them at that point. I then immediately called Greg to tell him the amazing, incredible news. I thought I saw Christina [ILY] along with young, dumb and ugly in that early crowd shot, and I saw Natasha in there, and that pan along the front row was just wonderful, seeing so many of the Yankworld denizens I know and love-I'm pretty sure I saw Vikki and crew, meli perhaps? [it was a fast pan].

The special was excellent. The drive with Al through Lynwood was charming. They used interviews from all of the band members well and many of the people from Al's circle, and the picture was extremely well-rounded. I thought the bits from Bill Mumy were very interesting. They did an excellent job of incorporating Suzanne and she came off as intelligent, warm, articulate and grounded [not any surprise to most of us at this point but still, she's so absolutely unlike a whole heck of a lot of people I have known in the entertainment industry I still find it hard to believe she ever worked in it].

The contrast with the Boy George special was amusing. A&E clearly hadn't been able to gather that many people who could really say that much in depth [or were willing to do so on camera], and had nothing directly from their subject. There were a number of comments about his creative talents but most had to do with how they hadn't really come to fruition. The A&E editors had the opposite challenge with Al. The story told itself, and there was so much there about his creativity and his development of his singular craft that the special was bursting at the seams with material. The closest to lurid material was Drew Carey admitting that there really wasn't any ["he brings his wife to the Playboy mansion!"] and that Al was a perfectionist and extremely focused and organized as a director. It focused on his creativity and that was absolutely fascinating.

Very fun, and well worth staying up past my bedtime.

Cheers, Diva

I just watched and all I can say is WOW! It was thoughtful and well done and FUNNY. I rarely ever laugh out loud during a Bio show. I even learned a few things and it was especially nice to hear Suzanne talking. You can just tell by the look on her face and the tone of her voice that she loves Al so much! Loved the unseen private family photos and Al's tour of Lynwood.

SIGH

Did he mention anything about her spreading mayonaise on the lawn? Cause then we might know where a certain song came from.

One of my personal favorite quotes (I think Ben Folds said it) [paraphrased] "His fans would gladly lay under a truck for him"

...how true :)

I would upload it somewhere, but I don't know how to get it from my DVR to my computer.
