Fred took this pic of Al during WBUL, and he's got this weird stance going, and his pants are all .. odd looking around his crotch. Fred showed him his picture and he's looking at it.. and he says "Whats going on with my Crotch?"

Well it's been ages since I've been on here, but I just wanted to say I thought the Champaign concert was wonderful!! I went there with my wife (we just got married not that long ago) and even though she's not a fan, she said it was a lot of fun (I think I'm converting her! And the great concert helped!). It's the most fun I've had in ages and reminds me why I used to be obsessed with Al. He is one of the most talented songwriter-performers out there and doesn't get nearly enough credit. I did emphasize to my wife that he's a GRAMMY winning artists, unlike her favorite who shall remain nameless.

I didn't even notice at first that he tripped during Lovr, like some other people I thought it was part of the act but it did look a little strange. Then we saw someone taping up the speaker later and I realized, no that wasn't part of the act! I have to say that was amazing that Weird Al was able to keep on going as if nothing happened. I have to say, I am also impressed that he's able to hit those high notes after all these years. I thought for sure he wasn't going to do the screaming at the end of the song, but he most definitely did!

It was definitely a lot different from the show I saw in Chicago a couple years ago, he and his band and crew deserve a lot of credit for making the tour very different this time around. I really enjoyed Why Does This Always Happen to Me, one of my faves. Apparently from a thread I saw by Elvis he usually plays Bob instead (which I also like). I was also happy The Saga Begins was in the line-up, I consider it the best remake of a song ever (I remember a thread arguing about if it was really a true parody or not, or maybe it was just a thread in my head!)

One thing I noticed, and I don't know if I'm (still) the only weirdo who really notices such things, was that during WDTAHTM, he messed up the words. He said "But he kept just right on asking" instead of "But he still just kept on asking". I only notice this because, as my wife mentioned, it's very easy to understand the words to his songs, he pronounces everything really clearly (even on Smells Like Nirvana, ironically enough!) and it's amazing that he's able to remember all the words without a teleprompter like many artists have nowadays. I don't know how he does "White & Nerdy" so fast, I can't even understand that fast much less sing that fast and ride on a Segway at the same time!!

Anyway great concert, I could go on but this post is long enough. Maybe I'll pop my head in more than once every couple years or so on the forums! :)
