Tonight's the first time I've been able to listen to Dr. D since February.

And You're Pitiful is #2 on the Funny Five.

Excellent! And it's a country station, too! :D Thanks!

Boo.

No Dr. D around here. I've never actually heard his show, but believe it was around here for a while, but not in at least 10 years I believe. I've bought a few of his compilation cd's though. Funny stuff.

And another station, KRDE, has dropped DrD after being threatened by Talonian to stop streaming the show online. We are now down to just two remaining stations that still stream the show as a part of their normal radio programming.

Here is the blurb the station posted on its web site....

Dr. Demento fans, the syndicator of the show has informed us that we must discontinue streaming the show or face losing the right to air it each week. We refuse to let an outsider mandate a web "Black-out" of our programming. This is both unfair to you and costly for us to implement. If you agree, send the doctor a message to cure this problem. Send an e-mail telling them you want the Dr. D show to continue on both FM & the web. Direct your e-mails to: [email protected]. If you'd like to hear the show each week, they'd rather have you pay $2 per show on the Dr. Demento website. By doing this, they are limiting the future "Weird Al's" to be heard across this country by cutting potential exposure.

Well that sucks.

What stations stream it online, then?

A clear channel station should pick it up, meaning, an AM station that can be heard throughout the country. But that has such a small chance of happening.

Al's got 4 songs on this year's Funny 25.

I miss Dr D's free radio syndication and audio streams <_<
This means something. This is important.
