I dare say this is Al's episode.

Wasn't Nirvana a grunge band, or am I thinking about another band?

Homer's band becomes famous, Al does a parody of one of their songs, maybe?

Rampant speculation by myself.

But I think it sounds most likely, as Al did a parody of grunge band Nirvana in the early 90s and so yeah.

So "Homer and Marge" is now available in audio form. I guess somebody can check the booklet to see who the writer of the song is, but I guess this confirms that Al didn't write it.

Well I thought this quote from Ask Al confirmed he didn't write it:

Originally I was only intended to be in the body of the show, but the recording session went so well, the writers thought it would be a great idea for me to sing an extended version of the parody over the closing credits (and of course, I did too)! So they came up with some additional lyrics and I went back to the Fox lot several weeks later to record that as well.
