Sometimes when I get stressed out at work, I like to turn on whatever Al song is on my mind and just take a 2-5 minute break (unless it's Albuquerque, which takes a little longer).
Today...I wanted to hear Polkarama and before I knew it, SOL had played all the way through and I was done with a big project. I've got music on all day long at work, but Al music is reserved for those special times when I actually want the music to cheer me up.
It's the only stuff that does it....and thankfully, he's got a huge library to choose from.

Emptying the dishwasher, folding towels, whenever my teacher is nice enough to let us listen while we work, anything! Except, I can't sleep with Al music playing, I just mentally sing along and my mind won't just shut up.

I work as a cashier too, and I wish that I could bring in a small CD player and my Al cds while I work, especially when I get stuck at the customer service desk, which I hate doing! I usually listen to at least one Al CD every night as I'm relaxing in bed, winding down to try and get some sleep. It's such a habit that when my cats hear his music coming from the bedroom, they come in and settle down on the bed because they know I've turned in for the night!BigWeirdAlFan @ Sep 13 2007, 10:05 PM wrote: Lucky you!! I'm a cashier, so the only thing Al related that calms me down on a hard day is if the original of something that Al done comes on the P.A. and I can sing along with it using Al's lyrics.
