It'll have to wait until another occasion, I guess.

I was at a Society for Creative Anachronism event on Saturday (for those of you who know the SCA, I got my Award of Arms, so you may now call me "Lady" and I'd like to see a little more respect from the peasants hereafter!) I got down to Costa Mesa just a hair before 8 pm, and then I made the wrong parking decision, and tried to park where I've been parking earlier in the week. Bad move. 60 minutes of inching along stuck in traffic after I got off the 405 onto the 55 (that's an hour to cover maybe a half-mile or so), and when I'd finally gone past all the full-up lots and completely circled the fairground I realized 1) Half the concert was over. 2) I was still nowhere near getting my car parked 3) I hadn't eaten for 9 hours and 4) my teeth were floating. So, I regretfully abandoned hopes of seeing Al in fafor of seeing Jack (in the Box) and then came home. On the positive side, I stayed up, and now, as of 5:29 am, I have finished my first read-through of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

And Al's still on tour, and I've got a ticket for Monterey, and maybe they'll get their server exorcised or something soon. Seeing four concerts was wonderful, and at least it was Friday when I had my best-placed ticket, and I was there.

It was so fun meeting new-to-me Al fans, and just hanging with the ones I already know. I hope we'll all be together soon, with "Fun Zone" blasting out of the speakers.

The place was packed last night and nearly everyone stood during Cell Phones and Albuquerque. :D

Another Halle Berry donut last night, also a pet name was sugar banana.

I got the library card check out line and I got the woo-hooos while Al was coming down the stairs. :inlove:

Yeah, there were all kinds of technical difficulties last night. It was really strange. Poor Al was tired too, but doing a show each night like that is bound to make you really tired.

This whole week was well worth it and awesome.

Thanks to Al and the TBITB for giving a fantastic show each night.

I'm gonna have fun going through my pictures at home. I just have to fly back.

Hey, I'm back. I had so much fun at the concert. I wasn't expecting Albuquerque and it totally blew me away! Ah! I can't wait until he's up here in September.

Ah, so Zelda's confusion problem has resolved itself. :P

I'm sorry to hear you couldn't make it to the show, Helen. So, were you in full Renaissance regalia because of the SCA? Congrats on your Award of Arms, Lady Helen! Will you wear your Ren-Fair outfit to the show in Monterrey, or were you just gonna show up at last night's show dressed like that, because of your event? I'm still deciding if I should wear my Ren-Fair outfit in September.

Thanks, everyone else, for the reviews from last night's show. Sorry to hear there were so many technical glitches. I'm sure Al is glad he gets a few days off before heading to Canada. Hope he gets some much needed rest.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Nice reviews everyone. I'm also sad that its over. :( Sorry that you couldn't make it Helen. I hope everyone who came for out of town has a safe ride home. It was nice meeting all of you. :D

You know, we heard "ear" the other night where you heard "uterus"...

Sorry you didn't make it, Helen--we missed you!

Glad to know I was missed... it was my own dumb mistake. If I'd gone for the "remote shuttle parking" from the outset I would probably have only missed 15 or 30 minutes of the concert.

I could have misheard, I guess, but I had a very good seat that night and I don't really think I'd have heard a one-syllable word as a three-syllable word. Ah well, Zelda has lots more pet names from wherever this one (whatever it is) came from.

Yeah, oh man- I got caught up in that insane traffic, too. I managed to get in during CI.
