Or were you planning on standing in line for the afternoon?
I would never be able to stay in line for that long...okay, maybe I am able, but I'm glad I don't have to. (No offense to those who did in the past) If you see me, I'm making my homemade chocolate fudge brownies and I'd be happy to give you one. Just stop by and say, "Hello, I'm *insert name here* from WOWAY," don't be shy, I don't bite, hard.
Sharing my baked goods...one Weird Al concert at a time.

Greg has 3 kids 13, 15 and 18. All are Al fans of varying intensities. When the presales came up I got the maximum 4 seats for both Friday and Saturday nights to try to cover the kids over both nights. The kids can all come to the show, their first Al concert-HOORAY! They can all only come on Friday night with Greg-YIKES! This of course means that Greg and his kids have 4 seats for Friday night. However, I no longer have a Friday night ticket. I checked the various sell-your-firstborn-for-an-OC-Fair-ticket sites and there are some seats there [for sell-your-first or second-born rates] but thought I'd check here first. Does anyone have a spare ticket for the Friday show they could sell to me? I may have one or two spares for Saturday to trade as well. PM me please ASAP
Cheers, Diva
about to check the going rates for an arm and a leg

OK aside from the Fair and the Al shows, what other fun things are there to do in that general area? NOTE: I have no car.
Beach?
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

OK what are the main attractions on Newport Beach? Is there a good conglomeration of shops and restaurants? I'm not much for lounging in the sun (as I fry fast), but I love oceans as long as there's something unique to do there.
I'm considering a daytrip to Catalina -- any suggestions?
Wow, Catalina--I've never been. Would that be something that could be done on a concert day and still get to the concert on time? Is it terribly expensive?
Vikki
There's a half day cruise that costs a little over $100 from 9:30am to 1:30pm. I don't mind spending the money for once in a lifetime experiences. The main challenge would be getting over there on time.
Too bad it's the wrong time of year for a whale watch.
Catalina.... there's not much there, really. I, personally, don't see a point. It's a little island. That's pretty much it. Unless you're into boating and whale/dolphin watching...
And, I don't know if you can get a ferry back in time to drive to the fair.
Eeep, no car? In So Cal? Better have 2 or 3 cab companies in your phone. Basically the only things to do around here are sightsee, eat, and shop. Go figure.
