Drat. Only those? I was having a small hope to Worlds of Fun or something since that is the closest and it's a 4 hour drive there.

Or maybe that new theme park they're building in Iowa right across the Missouri. I can hope!

I have yummy pictures printed of Al in that pirate outfit. Love 'em. :)

I was watching UHF last night, and the credits list an assistant to Mr. Yankovic. (Sorry, don't remember her name.)

Now we know what her job was. Ordering up the dead racoons. Guess that makes working closely with Mr. Yankovic a dubious prospect. Especially in Tulsa. In the middle of summer.
'Fraid that's true, Scotti. I found this on a website devoted to TV memories of Tulsa:
Ahhhh, UHF...I worked on this movie, in the construction department...
The infamous wheel of fish...our call the day we shot the wheel of fish was 6 am, and the producers had obtained from White River Fish Market, approx. 160# of fresh, whole, dead fishes of various types from mackerel to sea bass, and other large types...these were wired, or directly screwed onto a large "wheel of fortune" type contraption (that worked vertically, not horizontally) with great care by me, personally...(being in the art department has its perks) ....well, it took a great deal of creativity to balance the wheel with the various types and sizes of fishes so the wheel would indeed, spin and stop in random spots, and not go back to the same d**n fish every time...(this, as it turned out, was in actuality a moot point, but.....who knew???)

Anyway...after loading the wheel with ever slimier and ripening fish...(starting, once again at 6am) we actually shot the segment beginning at about 4:30 in the afternoon...and...well, you know...oh, did I mention that there was no air conditioning in the unoccupied part of the building, and it was, indeed late July (or August, I'm not sure which) and the fishes kept getting riper, and riper, and riper, and we added a studio audience of about 100, plus lots of 10k's, 5k's, and well, you know movie lighting...boy, oh boy, I could see why that uhf station didn't make it...
Not a word about raccoons, though. Probably overpowered by the fish. :nervous:

His only comment about Al was:
A genuinely nice guy, and really funny.

Oh waiter, over here, please! Another round of twinkie weiner sandwiches for my friends. Oh, yes. We'll have the blueberry daquiries too.

So Al is a pirate waiter, eh? Might we hope that there's some channeling of Captain McAllister of The Frying Dutchman fame?

Ok. We can start with that.

I really want to see this movie. I badly do! Man, those people near those cool theme parks get all the good stuff.

Here is the park's web site for the film. None of the Sea Worlds are listing it yet, so maybe it will just be exclusive to Williamsburg for a while...

And, it looks like they're shooting for a spring opening.

Some of the 4d effects...

Seat effects include specialized surround-sound speakers built into each seat, moving pieces near feet to simulate rat tails

Oh goody. Simulated rat tails. I guess that's better than real rat tails. But only slightly.
