I used to hate this song. The trouble was, last I'd listened, I was 10. I recently listened, though, and really liked it. I was dark, but very funny. Clever.

I remember a year or so ago I was trying out a piano teacher. I told her I liked Al and showed her my songbook. She flipped through and decided that the first song we would play should be GOD, because it's in the key of C. When we were having a quick practice through, so she could know the song a little before we work that hard on it. At the end of the first verse, she stopped playing and said something like, "That's it, we're not playing this song. I can't stand anything that has to do with torturing animals." That was the first, and last, time she came.

Ooh, I guess I am lucky. I've already turned one music teacher onto Al.

I can't stand people like that. I think that the best person in the world is someone who can laugh at anything. I'm able to laugh at jokes about something that has put me in the hospital for about a month, if the joke is funny. If it's not, then it bugs me.
